Objective / Justification
Human beings too, like every other living being, are part of the nature. But forgetting this has helped us to “use” nature just as natural resource, to be used for our material prosperity. We have destroyed the environment so much that our food, water, the air we breathe, everything is polluted and poisonous now. Nature is running out of resources, the weather is changing, diseases are growing, in short, we are damaging the earth beyond repair.
It is of utmost important that we become sensible about how we grow food, along with everything else that we MUST do to reduce our harmful impact on the earth. This 12- week course will give students an overview and in-depth understanding about various aspects of sustainable agricultural systems that can help preserve soil fertility, prevent water pollution and protect biodiversity.
This course will help students to –
