Gender Sensitization, Work Place Security and Capacity Building Programme

Since 2022-2023, Garhbeta College is offering this specialized training program which is certified the College itself.


Course Duration

32 hours during 5 th April, 2023 – 30 th June, 2023


Objective

The goal of this course is to address issues regarding gender equality and encourage participants to pursue solutions. Gender sensitization is interlinked with work place security, gender empowerment and capacity building. The aim of the course is to import knowledge and skills on Gender issues and development of gender sensitivity among the students. The course will be conducted in blended mode. Participants shall be encouraged to share their learning experience with others, to address gender related issues and the issues related to security in the work place in the interactive sessions. Capacity building programme will also be taken care of to make the participants self-confident in their own field.

➤ Unit 7- Explaining the provisions of ‘Protection of Women from sexual Harassment of Women at the workplace Act, 2013’ (POSH)

➤ Unit 9- Explaining ‘CEDAW’ (Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women)

➤ Unit 10- Explaining the importance of Women Empowerment and Capacity Building

➤ Unit 11- Explaining the importance of Women Leadership in challenging gender stereotypes.

➤ Unit 12- Realizing Gender Stereotypes Concept in Art, Literature, Entertainment, Sports and other sectors of Society.
